Dimitrios Pendarakis is a Principal Research Staff Member and Manager of the Secure Systems Group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. His current research interests are in the areas of virtualization and cloud computing security, hardware-enabled security, cyber infrastructure security and security analytics. In his position, Dimitrios directs several research projects that are developing new technologies targeted for commercialization in IBM products and services. Prior to this position, Dimitrios was a Research Staff Member in the Distributed Systems Group in Watson, where he led projects in the areas of on-demand computing, security for cyber-physical systems, and distributed system resilience.
Dimitrios received the Diploma degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, NY, NY.
